POLICE CASES. (Before Mr. W. G, Eiddcll, S.M.) . The only cases oil the charge sheet at the Magistrate's Court yesterday morning were against seven offend«i-s for drunkenness. Clara Algar was convicted and fined 20s. t in defatilt 'seven days' imprisonment, and G. Duncan and William Hodgson were each convicted and fined 10s., in default ; forty-eight hours' imprisonment. Four first offenders woro dealt with, two being joonvicted and fined 55., with' , tho alternative) of. twenty-four hours' imprisonment, and two being convicted' and discharged!
