There is no move on the part of Feilding bakers to raise the prico of. bread. Tho success of tho cash coupon system may cause tho local firms to refrain from making this staple food any dearer. The Ruahine-Rangiwahia correspondent of tho "Star" says:—"The weather is now cold and wintry, and although tli3 neighbouring mountains are still, free from snow, wo have had soveral" sharp, frosts. Hills, of Ruahine, secured ten hares, one pheasant/ 45 quail; and four pigeons.
