Employment Bureau opened in' M'Gill's Buildings', Bouloott Street, has "attracted a number of clients. , It is to' deal < with' employment. , of every kind, for women, not limited to domestic service. Miss Bremner, who is to take charge, will not-be in, "Wellington till June 1, and meanwhile Mrs. Hawthorne, Inspector of -Factories, is in' charge. No fees are asked for from employers or employed.. So far it appears that no girls have appeared seeking employment ,in privato families. TKero are plenty who will take situations in hotels, tea-rooms, or "boarding houses, but tho position of-domestic worker in a privato family is not ■ popular. Keepers of the ordinary registry offices say they do not fear tho competition of this bureau.— ,
