.... . . ♦ . . (BY TKI.EGPAPn— PRESS ASSOCIATION.)' DWELLINCtHOUSE DESTROYED. Auckland, May 13. A two-story house in Stanley Street, owned by Mr. A. Si. Myers, and occupied by Mr. A. Lewis, was, with its contents, totally destroyed by firo this morning. ; The family escaped in their night attiro by way of the verandah roof, tho lower story being ablaze when the outbreak was discovered!' The fire was caused by clothes loft before the kitchen fire becoming ignited. Tho houso was insured for £300 in the New Zealand office. The insured in the Victoria office for £150. Now Plymouth, May 13. A six-roomed house, at Spotswood Settlement, owned and occupied by Mr. Lovecrovc, a painter, was burned to the ground to-night owing to a lamp bursting.
