Last week (says a March issue of tho "Queen") the management of tho AJhambra played the masked card (if the phrase may here be permitted), and introduced a singer distinguished by the'non-identifying .title of L'lncognita'. The lady, herself, robed in a dainty pink evening gown,-heightened the mystery by also wearing a black mask, which effectually hid her features from the most observant eyes and the most searching opera glasses. Who the lady may. be, of course, it is impossible to say, but " the great unknown " no sooner began to sing than she at once secured the unanimous favour of the house, who encorcd her on her first, appearance again and again. The lady, who has a beautiful soprano voice, favours' operatic music, and appears to have an extensive repertoire, including many of I the old favourites. : •
