HARRIERS.

On Saturday, afternoon 28 members of the Wellington Harriers started'from Karori for their weekly run,; following a trail laid'by P. C. Dement and W. Press. Tho course led through 1 Northland to Wadestown and doubled back through Wilton's Bush and along tho main road to tho starting point. Tho strong breeze which was 'blowing scattered the paper considerably and made it difficult at times for the pack to "discover the course, consequently tho hares had no difficulty: in maintaining' their lead. Some of the best ground in the vicinity of Wellington for cross-county running is ot bo found in this locality, and tho hares took full advantage of it. Tho last hundred yards of. the course was; raced over by the pock, of'whom C. L. Turnbull proved to bo tho fastest, beating H. J.,Pollock by a yard, with A. P. Wilton a good third. The Thorndon Baths will bo tho starting point' for the club's run next Saturday.
