Prim 6 Minister (Sir.' Jpsoph . Ward), who '-is.'; president' of tho olub. Members of tlio " club h and visitors can proceed' to the links by either the ordinary 1.10 p.m. train or by a special .train leaving Wellington at 1:50 p.m. A largo number of' invitations have been' sent out,,'and tho function promises to bo most successful and InterostiiiE. After the formal opening of 'the clubhouse, Sir Joseph Ward will call upon Mr. Arthur Duncan - (amateur champion of New Zealand) to ,drive the first ball/in-an exhibition match,'in wliich. the I latter and- three other leading players -will take part.. Dunns the afternoon there will also bo' driving and putting comnotitions. The visitors will be entertained at after* noon toa in the; clubhouse, which' is, beautifully situated-iu front of a piece of. native bush, on a terrace .overlooking the links.. Subsequently tho prizes will bo presented; to tlio successful competitors by Lady Ward. An -advertisement' regarding trains and fares apnears in another column. ;
