ANOTHER CHARGE LAID. i (BY TELBOnArH. —rKESB ASSOCIATION,) , ' Auckland, April 20. At the Polios Court, - John Sidnoy Hinds wag oharged with theft at .Wellington of £115 from David Sutherland. 'Detective Mai'sack stated that the charge was in connection with the discovery in Wellington of the body of a man who had apparently been drowned. It was known prior to tho'man's "decease that ho possossed the sum referred to, and it was alleged that accused had been in his company. , Accused:was remanded to Wellington, Archibald M'Nab, a middle-aged man, was, at the February sittings, of the Supreme Court, at Wellington, sentenced to twelve months'.imprisonment with hard labour for complicity in the theft of £115 from, Sutherland. The' Crown Prosecutor, in outlining the'case,' stated that the body of Sutherland, who was deaf arid dumb, rns feund in the harbour about a M#nth after tht robbery was alleged to hare been committed. There was, lie added, no suggestion that prisoner was •in any way responsible for Sutherland being found drowned. Prisoner did not give evidence nor did he address the jury, .which delibofated over its verdict; for an hour'and .twenty minutes. .
