WELL PROVIDED.
Writing from Pahiatua, our travelling correspondent said:, —To show how well off the settlers have been for food on the Fori Road, I passed what Yorkshiremen call i "staggarth," otherwise stackyard, in which there was a stack of this year's hay, one\of last year, and one of the year before that. Olio thing I: noticed on this road was the wellgrassed paddocks. When sown dowrt after tho burn, plfcnty of ' seed was put in, and consequently there is a grand solo of grass, and very little Capo weed. 'A few pounds extra at the first sowing makes all tho\diffcronce in tho world to tho resultant pasture, and is money well spent. \
