FIRE IN THE CITY
'■ 7 ——' 'Abouji 1.30' o'clock this morning a . large residence in Boulcotfc,Terrace was discovered to bo alight. The house, which was recently purchased by Mr. C. E.. Wyett, of the London Dental Company, was'in course of renovation and was unoccupied, save for the presence fof Mr. Webb,- a frieud of the owner, who jvas living tlioro temporarily as carotakeri Mr. Webb arrived homo about midnight, and retired for the night. Ho was awakened about an hour later, and vfound his i;oom in flames. Ho oscaped by way of the balcony, knd gave tlio alarm. 'The Brigade, on arrival, very soon had tlio fire well! in hand, but the bluldiiig appears to have been gutted. Mr. Webb cannot account for the outbreak. The insurances were not obtainable this morning.
