ELEVATION IN SYDNEY.
Mr. W. E. Bichvill stated yesterday to our Wairarapa representative-.that- ho had-, rooeived a cablegram from farmer, jiis! trainer,' at present in Sydney, stating,that'Elevation had arrived th<?ro in good health, and was keeping veil. Mr. Bidwill said, further, that ho only nominated his. horse for tho-, Dcmi-Raster-as a second thought. 110 ,had .intended running himat Manavfatu, whore ho. would almost certainly', have won,, and increased weight would then practically have put him out of New Zealand racing,. Mr. Bidwill was of tho opinion that Elevation' was now, as a three-year-old, better than'ho' ever would bo again, and': 'ho'..therefore, thought that bo might, 'as;, well' pit 'hini against tho Australasian cracks;. so. that, ho might havo a clianco of making'a liamo for himself in tho Australasian racing' world. In addition to tho Doncaster Handicap, Elevation has been entered for p tlio All Aged .and Champion Stakes slid "thoßouso handicap, hut it will depend upon circumstances if tho horso takes part iii all -theso events.
