Entries for the Carruthers' Benefit Sports, which aro to bo held next Saturday, number 230. Amongst the competitors aro L. M'Kay (holder of the Australasian polo vault record), G. S. Sharpe (winner of thesthree miles championships of Australasia and Now Zealand), E. E. Fisher (preseiit.holder of tho Now Zealand and Otago 220 yards championships), H: Henderson (New' Zealand 100 yards championship this year), H. Dawson. \V. H. Pollock,,and W. Gosling (winners respectively of tho 220 yards, 440 vards, and 880 yards Wellington Provincial 'championships in February last), R. Bridgo, L. C. Fama, L. A. Teutenborg, ,F. AV. B. Goodbehere, M. Mulcahy, G.. Murdcck, A. Cunningham©, and W. H, C. Patrick. Tho Petono and Hutt Clubs will bo represented by M. Ryan, J. Ryan, G. Fogdon, E. Smyrk, .G. J. Marshall, and J.' Thomson. Tho-Football Club's relay race should bo a very interesting event, sevoral clubs having . entered teams. This race must be run in football uniform, and each runnor must carry a ball. A number of football clubs which woro unablo to subscribe to tho funds owing to thoir annual meetings being over i before tho oomniencemcnt of arrangements < for those sports, have sent, in requests'•for tickets to sell to members. All arrange- ' ments aro well in liaiid, and ail afternoon's 1 good sport is promised. Mr. L.: M'Kay will endeavour to break tho Australasian polo i vault record made by himself in Hobart on March 1. '
