April 5, 3.30 p.m.) London, April 4. At a banquet given by tho Hon; J. G. Jenkins, Agent-General for South Australia, Lord Dudley, tho recently-appointed Gov-ernor-General, Lord Jersey, and a representative gathering of commercial- men were present. Responding to the toast of his health, Mr. Price said that Englishmen should cultivate sontiment towards tho, colonies. ' If sentiment were allowed to die, tho ties binding the Empire would fall asunder. ' South Australia had tried to work in harmony with tho Federal Government. All tho talk about separation was only humbug. No party in Australia would talk repudiation or disloyalty to tli'o Empire,, to which they> were all proud to belong.
