Tho Federal Postmaster-General (Mr. Mauger) made somo strong remarks in tho House on the working of the Post Offico by tho Deputy Postmasters-General, who, it is alleged, have not exercised thoir powers to tho full extent. Members assailed Mr. Mauger with questions during his remarks. Ho said there was lack of co-operation, which it was difficult to defmo, although ono knew it was there. _ Thoro had been 110 apparent disposition to disregard instructions from tho head oflico, nor could he say thoro was sullcnncss or indifference, but thero was not that cordial co-operation of tho deputies and high officers' that would have rcduced tho difficulties of the situation.
