■. : H Tlio Gear Company biftchers versus the Ngahauranga butchers. played a game of football', on the Petone Kecrcation Ground, and game, aftergame rather; rough .play on both /sides, resulted rn a win for Gear Company by 11 to nil. ■A good crowd of people assembled in the main street at the upper Hutt on Saturday night, to. hear a small baud of enthusiasts from Petone on the merits of No-Lice"nse. The speakers were Messrs. W. B. Nicholson, ,T. Delahunty, and Thos. Townsend (the secretary), all of whom were accorded a good hearing.
