At /the Supremo Court to-day' the case, John Baillio v. the Imperial Dry Jlilk Company, was heard before Mr.. Justico Cooper. The claim' was for the sum of £501 m respect of work done by plaintiff for ■defendant, and as compensation in respect to a patent invented by tho plaintiff, also for loss of tools at,defendant's factory at Bunnythorpe, which was destroyed by lire some years ago. Evidence was given by Messrs. Baillie, Hoko, and Morritt for bhe<plaintiif, and by Messrs. T. and D. Nathan for the defence. Judgement was given for tho plaintiff for £10, and His Honour reserved lfis decision regarding tho mnttor of costs. A decrco nisi was granted to Mary Ann Pyo, who applied for tho dissolution of her marriage with Archibald" Robertson Pye 'oil tho grounds of desertion, failing.to provido, and persistent crnolty. No defence was filed. Edward Jones, alias Johns, -was sentenced to four years' imprisonment with hard labour for committing an indecent assault on a at Ashhurst.
