Tlio Bisliop of St. 'Asaph has again submitted in the. Houso of Lords tho Education Bill ho. introduced in. 1904. The Bill accepts the principles of public control, and abolition of tests, and provides for siniplo. Christian teaching at given school hours, at the cost of tho local education authority, and for facilities to bo given thrco times each week enabling children whose parents wish them to receive distinctive religious instruction to receive such instruction, but not at tho cost of the local education authority.

The. Church of England, under- this Bill, would give up tho appointment of teachers, and .the right of contracting out, and wopld transfer its school buildings for secular instruction to the. local education authority.

" The Times" hiijts that the Bishop of St. Asaph ,is receiving some Ministerial encouragement.

'/ The Liberal papers suggest that the right of .entry for denominational teaching would be an obstacle to the Government's acceptance. of tho Bill.
