KEROSENE CURE FOR FRUIT-FLY.

"Reports aro coming to hand from tho country districts," says the Sydney Morning Herald," " as to the success that is attending the oil method of capturing fruitfly. Last year wo published information that a litt-lo keroscno oil placed in a sardino or other tin, or oven a saucer, and hung_iii the trees, exercised a powerfully attractive' influence on the flies, which, entering tho oil, wore drowned. It appears,' however, that any strong-smelling oil will do as well as kerosene, although the latter,, oh account of its oommonness, is generally used. In ono district in this State, 200 flies were oaught in two days, and are, of course, past the possibility, of doing any. further harm."
