BUTTER-MAKING ON THE FARM.
G. H. Barr, branch dairy commissioner ,of the Canadian Department of Agriculture, gives advice to farm butter-makers which may be summarised as follows Keep good cows. . Feed them liberally. Keep them comfortable and clean wheir in the stable._ " Skinia rich cream. ; > Keep the cream cool.'■ Churn at the temperature that will'! give a flaky granule in tho butter. . ■ Uso clean pure watcr x for washing' butter, not more than three degrees colder or warmer than the butter-milk. • Put the butter up in neat, clean, attractive packages; ' ■ . ! '' , '. Keep everything in and about the dairy cloan and attractive.
