OAMARTJ HARBOUR BOARD. ; -v Oamaru, March-9. The local' Harbour Board, has .long faced ■ financial difficulties. Its dredging resources have been used up and the dredge is antiquated and unable to undertake the necessary work. At a meeting this morning there - were three-proposals before the-Board :—(l) To repair the old dredge and do the work afc a cost, of, £3000, taking! eight years; (2) to buy a new dredge costing £44,500," and completing, tho work in three years ; and (3) to hire a dredgo-and do tho work for £15,000.
