DARING ROBBERY.
■ — — —* ■ • £10,000 WORTH OF DIAMONDS STOLEN. BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. London, March 3. Mr. Hoymann, a representative of an Amsterdam firm, was passing the General Post Office in London, when thieves jostled him, and stole a case containing £10,000 worth of diamonds. . A WELLINGTON MAN'S EXPERIENCE. A Wellington resident (who does'not wish his name disclosed), who recently returned from a trip to the Old Country, had a startling experience during his stay in London. He was strolling along R.oseberry Avenue, in broad daylight with a. fair number of'people about, when a snatch-thief made a grab at his watch-ohnin. He caught hold of the man, and was tussling, with him when two of tho thief's mates took a hand in tho game, and maltreated the Wellingtonian, while the original thief got clear away with tho watch and chain. The fact that such outrages do occur in daylight with plenty of people.about in the best. policed city in tho world is a mattor for amazement.
