MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of- the Wellington Education Board was held yesterday, there being, present Messrs.' W. Aitken, M.P. (in the chair), J. Kobbell, A. H. Vile, a. W. Hogg, M.P., W. C. Buchanan, arid W. 11. Field, M.P. STATEMENT OF FINANCES. Karori School—Tho Committee which visited the school recommends that a grant uf ~00 bo made towards levelling l and grading tho playground in accordance with the plan submitted, provided the Committee undertakes to complete tho work to the satisfaction of the. Board, building repairs to stand oyer, for the present. Tho recommendation was.adopted.';

As the woodwork room has been found tco small, it is suggested'that tho laboratory miglit be fitted up there, a larger rooni being provided for woodwork. .
