On' Saturday next, February 8,. at the Recreation Ground, Lower Hutt, the Hutt Valley' A.A.C. will, hold its third annual sports meeting. The Wellington Provincial Championships are being run at the meeting. The entries received constitute a record;'and include some of the most prominent New Zealand athletes, among them being H. Henderson, E. E. Fisher,' A. Burge, 11. Kerr, and L. M'Kay, all of whom hold New Zealand championships. A novel 'feature at tho meeting will bo tho wood-chopping and sawing competition.. No. expense has been spared to make the meeting attractive. During tho aftornoon.tho Hutt Brass Band will-play various selections, and afternoon tea will bo provided on the ground.
