CHARITABLE AID BOARD.

An ordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of the Wellington and Wairarapa Charitablo Aid Board was held yesterday morning, and attended by Messrs. R.. C. Kirk (Chairman), F. Cohen, Murdock, and D. M'Laren. . ; _ Notice was received that Mr. R. Smith had been elected to the Board as representative of Pahiatua Borough and County Councils, Ekotahuna Borougn and County Councils, and Mauriceville and Akitio County Councils, a new olection having been held in consequence of an informality. Mr. Smith Was appointed a member of the Executive Comnuttoo, and it was decided that, in order to suit his convenience, the meetings of tho Committee should bd held on the last Tuesday of each month at noon. It was resolved to recommend the distributing local bodies to adopt the system of records in connection with recipients of charitablo aid, as desired by the InspectorGeneral. Tho Secretary reported a credit balance at the bank of £2746 6s. lid.
