SHANNON.
A pretty heavy shower of rain fell early this morning, but, owing to tho prolonged dry spell, it was like water on a duck's back. Th'o weather looks more like rain than for weoks past. Tho telephone gang has at last reached Shannon, and the wiro between Moutoa and Shannon should bo established beforo very long.
