Our Woodbury correspondent states , that while most crops are severely from tho dry weather thero are others which, through having got an early start, Will givo more than an average crop. A 60-bushel crop of oats is reported from Woodbury, and other good yields at'Opihi, Rangitata, and ltivcrslea. ' At the last-named place a splondid crop of, elephant swedes are conspicuous on Mr. John Brown's place. The tops of some had been broken away, and a good second growth of leaves for green feed had resulted. Some farmers aro cutting grass on the roadsides. Much of the cocksfoot seed is light. Potato plantations are good, but majiv of the crops are at a stage when rain would cause a second growth. Orchard crops are deteriorating; water is being .carted in tome distriota.
