PRICE OF WOOL.
IMPROVEMENT ANTICIPATED. (DX TELEGUAI'H—SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.) Duxedin, "January 22. Mr. W. C. Dawes, .chairman of tho . New Zealand, Loan and Mercantile Company, and chairman of the New Zealand Shipping Company says: "My feeling is that the agitation as regards wool is entirely one that is affected by the money market. I don't think tliere is any justification of wool dropping in value, as before I left the wool that was going Homo was boing sent at once to the manufacturers, whoso hands were full of orders, but von can quite understand that the 6 per cent, banking rate upset the position. Buyers, .who. go . out will have to go cautiously, and the same, tiling applies at Home, but at the same timo I am not depressed about the- position as regards wool. 1 think that as soon as this temporary trouble'is adjusted wo shall find wool improve again."
