Tho Druids' Hall was the scene Inst night of a successful! benefit social, promoted, by the Wellington Wharf Labourers' Union, in aid of tin! wife and children of one of the members, 5Jr. H. Terry we.ro M.C.'s. The committee included the officers of . the Union, vis'.; Messrs. F. Burton (president), W. Carrie (vice-president), T. Smith (treasurer), and D. M'Laren (secretary). During the evening Mr. McLaren returned thanks on ' belialf of Jfr. and' Mrs. Godfrey. About JCIS was raised by means of the social.
