OPERA HOUSE. Tho fin j 1 performance of tho charming extravaganza, "His Highness t.'io Bey," was given at,'the Opera House.before an enthusiastic audio.nee last night. This evening "Bluebell in Fairyland," which attracted such attention : during tho recent season, will be. presented.- .On Saturday the American extravaganza,■ "The Isle of Bong Bong,".will be staged for the first time. Mr. Pollard has spared no-'expense of time to mako this production as as possible. This will be tho : first time that "The Islo of Bong Bong" has been produced in the Australasian colonies, -as tho rights have only recently, been procured from the author. The l scenery, wardrobe, properties, etc., hav'o all been prepared in New Zealand. Tho plan for the initial performance of' "The Islo of 'Bong Bong" is now on view at tho Dresden. THEATRE ROYAL. ' Mossrs.'.Fuller have selected a bright pro-gramme'--for the current week, and the nightly performances of their smart company of vaudeville artists arc being well attended. "Ziska," an, artistic, figure poser, is tho latest addition to tho. programme! Tod Calloway, Lucas, and Watts and the ot.ljSr mombers .wore in good form last evening, and their several "turns" were highlv approbated. ."WONDERLAND." One of the .principal attractions for holidaymakers to-dav will undoubtedly bo the floral fete and-fancy dress carnival at "Wonderland." Prizes, totalling in valuo 20 guineas, wilL be awarded for the best dres:;, the most original dross, the best .decorated/bicycle, the best dccorated go-cart, and the -best arranged bouquet of flowers. Mr. Nelson Illingworth, tho well-known sculptor, will judge tho costumes, and Mr. F. H. Evans, of Taita, Hiitt, will -judge the flowers. A special, late train-service has been arranged for. The management announce that anyone ill fancy-dress or in charge of dccorated bicycles or go-carts will bo admitted free. Aii additional attraction will be tho floral ballet by 20 Wellington girls. Tho famous swing-song and other'features will be included in tho programme.
HIS MAJESTY'S. There, was another crowded house last evening to witness the Royal Syndicate's display of living pictures in His .Majesty's Theatre. The' collection was practically the same as on the previous evening, and elicited "iinich ciithllsiasm'. 1 Tho King's visit to the Dreadnought was ono'.of the finest of the views. Tho entertainment will be repeated this evening. . MONTGOMERY'S PICTURES. -A final reminder js given of the entertainment to he provided by Mr. Edmund Montgomery's Company iii tho Town Hall tonight. Among tho many new pictures' to ,bfs showni here for tho first time is. 0110 illustrating the historical Coventry pageant. A beautiful film, in natural colours, reproduces tho. great Drury Lane . pantomime success," Ali.liaba and tho Forty Thieves." In to pictures, vocal records of the world's greatest operatic artists will he included in tho programme. The main features of the entertainment aro outlined in our advertising columns. Owing-to the hall being otherwise engaged, only one performance will he given.
