pfe!)ST-f;eiP|s. ——-» . • , , r ool lias' gone down in price, bat English manufacturers are still uflected by the ■ -■high .prices- that' ruled last 'season, and the cost of carpets has been advanced by sixpence a yard. Fortunately for our 'customers, : instead : of sending. Home' email '•.•orders from time to time, we bad ordered a whole year's 6tock, which, wj secured before the price was increased, and we can, therefore, sell them at tho old price. We have now. a very fino selection of . carpet • squares in'several varieties. Axminster carpet squares, in beantifully blended colours and in self-coloured. liet:—.s, wo sell at the following prices:— . ■ 9ft; by *10ft. Gin;, from £7 10 .0 10ft. We have very handsomo Axminst.er 6tair carpets at prices l'rom Gs. to 12s. 6d. per ■ yard. ■ .- .... / LINOLEUMS. Our stock of linoleums is as artistic and varied as our carpet stock. Tho virtues of the inlaid tile patteru are well known, 'i'heso do not show dust marks, and they \vear evenly till tho last, because each "colour is.' stamped right through to the ' - back. They are. more, expensive than tho painted linoleums, but are "much more artistic,, anil in their durability; well worth the extra money. Other linoleums in 'which tho colour is stamped right through aro the' Oriental ones, ami tho parquetry. The Oriental are made in .ae rich colours, and the designs Turkey carpets, and would do admirably for smoking-rooms or diningrooms. These we can supply at ss. 6d. and ts. 6d. a squaro yard. There are also linoleums in very handsome Art designs at fc. 3d., ss, 6ti., and 6s. Sd. per squnr" yard. ' Then wo have inlaid linoleums in a sort of softened effect, not clearly cut liko the familiar trie designs. And-a new. line is the plain matting effect - in a cheaper linoleum, which we stock in rod,, cream, and j;reeu. 'lhe latest idea in linoleums is the parquetry:. flooring. These are in imitation ---of. oak-parquetry flooring, really an aduiir'""aiile imitation.' TliOy aro specially adapted for halls and dining-rooms, but in a drantngrum, with ah Oriental carpet square in vhe centre, they would look very effective, • : and would set off tho rich colours of the "' carpet. V ;.. , v " v-'Yet another ,linolciiin-like floDr covering is the cork carpet, which is most' suitable for bedrooms, as it is not cold to the feet ". like ordinary .linoleum, and," as a matter of fact, it is made of sain? preparation of cork. The plain cork carpet, in shades of ,gra>» and red, ami dark blue, is very . suitable for ofliees, especially if there were a carpet square in tho centre. We'have this plain at 3s. Cd., 4s. 3d., and . ss.','3d; ..per: .yard, and in art designs at 4s. per yard. CURTAI..J, If you want curtains,, ycu probably wimt casement curtains, as are more used '' now than anything olse, quaint and pretty little curtains hanging from top to bottom of tho window pane. We. have Ji very good , ' range of casement cloths. We' have plain Eilky cloth, a double width''material of 52in. width, at ss. 3d. a yard. Stencilled cream cloth, of tho same width, from 2s. 9d> to ss. 9d. a yard. Holland case- .. ment, in: grass green, art blue, and sell colour, at 4s. a yard. Then wo have Madras curtains, plain, tasselled, and frilled, from Is. 6d. to-4s. 6d. per yard. THE SCOULIAR COMPANY LTD., Warehouse:' 197, 159 Um&ton Quay. Steam and Bedding Factor;; Thoradoa Quay
