December' 31, 1907, intimated, with respect to tho revision of tho Karori Borough, that thoNorthlands area would,' when tho revision took ofi'ect, form part of tho city, and, therefore, could only'ho revised, so far as the unimproved value was concerned, when the rest | of tho city was revised/ which would probably bo next year. Tho new buildings would bo added'this year, ; bnt tho unimproved value would remain for another year. It was pointed out that if a re-valuation of tho unimproved valuo were mado of Northland's this year, the. city , rates would also be collectiblo 011 tho new values.. This would-bo unfair to the ratepayers, resident .'in North-, lands, who would thus bo rated on a basis of valuation for tho coining .fear differing from that of others within tho city boundaries.
