The' City Council meeting of to-morrow evening smacks of something like a confirmation servico. Tho business 1 will includo the following:—. Confirmation . of. , resolution passed 011' March 14, 1907, adopting tho Elcctric Light Fitters By-law, 1907; Confirmation of resolution passed on May 23, 1907, adopting the consolidation and revision of the Wellington'' City Corporation By-laws, 1907; Confirmation of resolutions passed at a special meeting of tho Council, hold on December 5, 1007, repaying oif loan of £9500 for waterworks and To Aro reclamation: (a) authorising borrowing of money necessary to pay off loan; (h)~ making special order striking special rate; Confirmation of resolutions passed at a special meeting of the Council, held on December 5, 1907, repaying off cemetery loan of £7500: (s) authorising-the borrowing of £0000 to pay off loan; (b) making special order striking special rato; ©onfirmation of resolution passed at a special meeting of the Council, held on December 5, 1907, making special order striking special rate in connection with tho Molroa» district drainage loan of £100,00(1; • Confirmation of resolution 'passed at a special meeting of the Council, held, on December 19, 1907, accepting surrender of lenso of section 70, Lainbton Reclaimed Land, City of Wellington, held by, Messrs., George and Kersley, Ltd., and granting ' a new lease for the balance of the existing term at an increased rental of '100 per cent, on the present rental, with perpetual right of renewal for successivo periods of 14 years, at ii ground rental only, the rental under such renewals to be fixed by valuation.
