C. Williamson's Musical Comedy Company no. less than three pieces new to the Dominion have been staged, and to-night, yet another new musical comedy will be presented to Wellington playgoers. Jhis will bo "Thrco Littlo Maids," one of the latest'. Gaiety successes, which has been called the "golf comedy,'' as much ■of ;the humour hinges upon that popular' game. The three little maids are daughters of a poor country vicar, and to.balance tho deficiency in his. stipend they go to servo in a fashionable London tea shop, where they' become encaged to thrco young aristocrats, who_discard in their favour three high-toned London belles.. These seem simple incidents, but they are combined with such humorous complications, melodious song, smart dialogue, and bright scenery and dresses that "Three Little Maids" has won a very high reputation. £»

POLLARD'S JUVENILE OPERA' COMPANY. Mr. Tom Pollard's Juvenile Opera Company will return to Wellington on Friday next, and open a season with a repertoire of. popular musical comedies on Saturday eventing at the Opera House. Their initial Production will bo the musical satire "His Highness the 1 Bey." The' scene is: laid in. Persia, and the operetta is a satira on government under an autocracy. There is a diversity of character and the piece is brimfulof pretty music, fun, and sparkling humour. Among the many pretty airs that catch and stick are "Kankakee," "Sand Man," "Linda Lou," and the comical " Scarecrow " ballet and many other novelties. The scenery is new and. beautiful, and the outstanding features are the fine artistic performance ■ of young Nicholson (Blih in Bluebell") as the Bey, and the ballets, which are far above the: average merit. Miss Mintiio Topping,. who made such a hit in "Bluebell" has a taking part as "Gladys Coyne," an Amorican heiress: All the other parts are well sustained, and the performance is said to go with great brilliancy.
