The Borough Council has decided to call for applications for the position of assistant clerk. The business of the Council has grown so that it is impossible for the present clerk to keep up with it. Applications will be considered in a fortnight's time. Councillor Noodle has tabled a motion that a committee bo set up to enquire into ways and means of making a permanent track to the top of Whnriti for tourist purposes.
