Littleton, the lawyer who takes tlio place of Mr. Delmas in the defence of Harry Thaw, charged with ' tho murder of Stanford White, has announced that tho plea, of " not guilty " will be withdrawn. ' It will now bo pleaded that Thaw was insane at the time when he shot White. >. Now York, January 6. Tho defence in the Thaw trial will call prisoner's wife and many new witnesses, including Anthony Com'stocki' the : anti-vice crusader, who is expected •to reveal that Thaw made efforts to expose White's alleged misdoings before Thaw shot him. " Tho defence hopes to provo that Thaw was insane at the time of the tragedy, but that ho has now recovered. 1
