' I Molbotime, December 27. • About 1400 mon in tho railway servico, who are entitled to retire on pensions at the ago of sixty, have started a movement ■ to; 60cure for those of their number who desiro to settle on tho land permission from tho Government to allow them to retire at fifty. ' ■ ■ Tho average pension at that. age would bo about £70 a year. They'argub that tho youngpr men could do their work, and effcct a saving to the State, whilo the Stato would be benefited by .their settling on tho land.
