NEXT SESSION.

PARLIAMENT TO MEET IN GOVERNMENT HOUSE. ' (BT TELEGRAM—PBKSS ASSOCIATION.) , Auckland, December 26. His Excellency tho Governor has offered to allow Government House at Wellington to bo used as the .meeting place for next session of Parliament...-.The Prime Minister, on behalf of the Government, has accepted tho offer, and has expressed to His Excellency' his deep appreciation of this considerate action. • Speaking to a : "Herald" representative on the subject to-night, Sir Joseph Ward said that this arrangement meant a satisfactory solution of a very difficult problem. The temporary, arrangements for holding the session on the present, sito of Parliament HouSo, which had been contemplated, would, he said, have involved an outlay of no less 'than £12,000, and even that would not have provided the degree of comfort that will bo availablo at Govornniont House at a comparatively small outlay. Suitable arrangements would have, of course, to bo made in regard to a tomporary residenco for tho Govornor. Tho Tolegraph Office is advised by the Pacific cablo authorities at Bamfield (Vancouver section) that tho lines have been swept away for miles, and that it was unlikely they would be restored by yesterday.
