MARIST BROTHERS' SCHOOL. i Last evening the pupils attending tho Brothers' School 'gave an excellent concert in His Majesty's Theatre, Courtenay Place. The building was well filled, and the various items were, heartily applauded. . The •• part-songs, "Those Evening Dells," "Tho Murmuring Sea," "Alas, those. Chimes,'* and "My Bonny Barque," were well sung: Solos',' recitations, and drill exercises made up tho rest of the programme, the entertainment.' concluding with an. amusing farce, "Dr. Diaculum," in which the various characters were well sustained. The cast was as follows" Dr. Diaculum," William Buckley; "Joshua," his apprentice, Joseph Devlin; "Mr. Simpson," Cecil Uasquoine; and tile inevitable policeman, John Devlin. Mr. I'\ J. A number, of the parents and friends of the scholars wcro present at the Congregational Schoolroom, Bowcn Street, yesterday morning, when Miss Richmond's Kindergarten had its annual prize-giving. An entertaininont was given by the'pupils beginning with an exhibition of drill under the direction of Mr.-Har-rison, the instructor. This was very good, especially the marching of the .smallest children. After this there was singing of., Christmas carols by the children. GBEGG ' SHORTHAND INSTITUTE. At the Masonic Hall last night, prizes won bv the students of the Gregg Shorthand Institute were presented by Mr. P. SI. B. Fisher, M.P... The Principal, Mr. J.
