Taylor—Lethbrldgc Wedding. An interesting wedding took placo at the Presbyterian Church, Feilding, on Wednesday last, when Miss Dorothy Lcthbridge, daughter of Mr. F. Y. Lcthbridge, M.P., was married to Mr. George U. Taylor, son of Mr. William Taylor, of Feilding. The church was _ beautifully decorated by friends of the bride. Tho Rev. George Btuld performed the ceremony. Tho bride's dress was of white chiffon taffetas, made in Empire style, with train; - and trimmed with chiffon roses outlined with silver thread. She wore a veil and orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of white roses, stcphanotis, and ferns. The bridosmaid, Miss Edith Lcthbridge, sister of tho bride, _ was in white muslin, trimmed with lace insertion, through which nattier blue ribbon was threaded, and with this she wore a blue hat wreathed with shaclcd cream and brown flowers. She carried a bouquet of -flowers with streamers of brown ribbon. Tho bridegroom was attended by Mr. Norman Bewley, of New Plymouth. After the ceremony a reception . was held by Mr. and Mrs. Lcthbridge at their residence at Maheno. Afternoon tea was served in the drawing-room, where tho tables were decorated with bridal {lowers: The many beautiful presents displayed, in the diningroom included a silver tray, presented to the bride by her father's parliamentary colleagues. Mrs. Lcthbridge, mother of the bride, wore a handsomo frock of embroidered black chiffon over Ivhite silk, trimmed with white lace and white toque, with pink roses and long black osprey. Mrs. Taylor, mother of (tho bridegroom, wore black chiffon taffetas with trimming of green; Mrs. Barton green cloth Eton costume and green hat, with pink roses. Mrs.- Walpolo wore a frock of pale green with white hat trimmed with roses, and carried a bouquet of red and white roses. Mrs./Taylor was in black and white striped.silk, with pink hat; Mrs. H. Y. Lethbridge, brown, and pink Eton costume, with hat of the same shades; Miss Greig, white; Mrs.' Hardy (Rnkaia), blue arid white striped silk, and blue hat;' Mrs. Dalrymplc, black, with a black and- white hat; Mrs/ Sorley, pink frock, black hat. Among the others present were, Mrs. B. P. Lethbridge,. Mrs. Robinson,-Miss Haggitt, ;Misses Dalrymplc (2)/ Mr.' and Mrs... H. Booth, Miss Greig, Mrs. Airley, Mrs. Meyrick, Mrs. Ross, Miss-Plock, Miss-Ray, and the Misses Robinson (2).

A very pleasant tennis party and tea was given by Mrs. Chnrlos Russell on Wednesday afternoon as a farewell- to Miss Audrey Stubbs, of Auckland, who lias been her guest for the past few weeks, and who leaves for Auckland to-day. Tho tea-room was prettily decorated 1 with sweet, peas, and in another room a fortune-teller disclosed the secrets of fate. Mrs. ltu'ssoll received, her guests iii a pretty pink-flowered voile made over silk, and tiimmed with Valenciennes lace. Most of the guests were in white tennis costumes Among thoso present were: Mcsdamcs Holmes, Wiley, and Jones, Misses .Ward, Holmes, Wiley," Jones; .Tolhurst,' .Bristow, Nathan (3), Dean, arid Seddon. On Wednesday afternoon Mrs. Macgrcgor, who is staying .it the Royal Hotel ; oak, had a small afternoon tea for some of her girl friends. Mr. and Mrs. Colliq and family 16ft yesterday to spend a few weeks at Picton Sound. Mrs. Arthur Ehvorthy, of Pareora; South Canterbury, who is staging'with her sister, Mr:;. Hansel], at Karori, returns South today. Miss Lucy Cook and Mr: ,J. arid Miss Muriel Anderson, Christrhiirch, are'in town. Miss M. J. M'Lean, principal of the Wellington Girls'. Colloge, has written to friends in Wellington from Jerusalem. At St. Peter's Church yesterday afternoon Mr. F. J. Ballinger, third son of Mr. Thomas Ballinger, was married to Miss Millie Jones, daughter of Mr. T..R. Jones, of "Sea View." Miss Ida Jones, sister of the bride, acted as bridpsmaid. Mr. A. G. Ballinger was best man. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. P. Davys. On Tuesday evening the Newtown Mothers' Union had a Christmas Tree and entertainment in St. Thomas's Hall, Newtown, which proved a great succcss in every way. The Naval Kazoo Band gave their services, and contributed largely to the musical portion of the programme. The, proceeds of the evening were devoted to tho fund for liquidating the debt on the schoolroom. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Fell and Miss .Sylvia Fell, of Nelson, who retunicd on Wednesday from a visit to England and Europe, ■ leftlast night for Nelson. -Miss Fell, who accompanied them to England, is-remaining in London for another year to study music.
