SOME REFLECTIONS.
It is possible that with tlio return of the long, sleeve we shall see the recrudescence of »omo of the old modes for forming it. Tho transparent sleevo of chiffon or net, rucked, with little seams or headings running its length, was never very satisfactory, on account of its absolute determination to twist. Nothing makes tho arm look worse than twisted perpendicular lilies-that are meant to bo straight. Another great drawback to the long sleeve is the difficulty one .experiences in achieving a corrcct cut and fit, whether in transparent or opaque materials. It is a pity that soma sort of woven sleeve— modelled on tho lines of the stocking—is not feasible.
