MISS BABER'S GIRLS' SCHOOL.
ANNUAL PRIZE-GIVING. Yesterday evening Miss Saber's Private School held its annual breaking-up arid prizegiving in the.Goring Street Hall. There was an exnibition of drill by the pupils, after which tho prizes were presented by Mrs.'Hislpp. In this school the excellent' system obtains of giving prizes only to-those-girls who have obtained at least 80 per cent, of marks at the examinations. Songs were given by the scholars, -nml the younger children presented a- little • play, entitled "Cendrillon " The proceedings close with the singing of Bongs, ami carols.; During, tho evening Miss {Rachel Richmond, who has lately arrived from England, gave a short address 'on English educational methods. Hiudmarsh. .A crawling apron is a garment which Wvers the child from throat to ankle; it has * couple of holes at-tho base, through which the little feet pass, and it has accompanying sleeves, so that the frock beneath remains perfectly unsoiled. It -serves alike for a plain and a feeding apron. A less enveloping kind reaches below : the knee, has holes for the/arms to pass through, and buttons down the bank.
