The Commandant at Ujda, a seaport of Morocco, occupied by tho French, reports that a force that was reconnoitring in tho Kiss region encountered 1500 Arabs. Tho Fronch were compelled to retreat after sustaining eight casualties. FRENCH WELL POSTED. , Morocco, November 26. In tho fight with tho Fronch troops, following the attack by the Beni Snasem tribe, tho. Arabs suffered heavily. Tho Fronch Commander, Colonel Tolineau, foresaw tho attack, and posted twelvo thousand'of his troops in an advantageous position. It is estimated that tho Arabs had twelve hundred men killed, tho French loss boing one man —a Spahi. ' After tho fight the French shelled anativo village, killing twenty-five persons, and wounding a considerable number. . Paris, November 26. The well-known journal, "Lo Temps," 3avs that at ono moment the outlook was somewhat serious from a French point of view, ten thousand natives threatening to surround the French troops.
