Reuter reports that an Imperial irade has ordered that the sanctuary of the Prophet Mohammed at Medina shall bo lit by electricity. Medina is, after Mecca, the holiest eity of the Mohammedan world; it sheltered Mohammed after the Hegira, or flight from Mecca, l.lie Prophets mosque is supposed to encloso his tomb, and to bo erected on tho spot wliero lie died. The mausoleum, in which his body is supposed to be unddcayed, is an irregular doorieas chamber in tho south-east corner, and is surmounted by a crescented "green dome," springing from a series of globes.
