BOXING.

\ A meeting of tho Management Committee of" the Wellington Boxing Association was held in Batkin's Rooms last ovening, Dr. N. M'Lean presiding. A letter was received from the Commissioner of Police granting permission for Constables Skinner, and Stephens to give an exhibition of wrestling at the Association tourney oii November 25, The secretary, Mr. W. Coffey, informed the mooting that he had been advised that if in Wellington on tho date, His Excellency tho Governor would accept the invitation of the Association to be present at tho tournament A letter was received from an ex-Austra-lian, J. Ruff, offering to enter in an ex 4 hibition, middle or heavywoight, spar at the tournamont. The Committees decided that it would bo unablo to accept flio offer for the present meeting as tho programme has already been drawn up. Tho secretary announced that J. Godfrey had arrived from Auckland.' and was training under Mr. H. AVilson, of Cliristchiireh. Godfrey is stated to bo in better form at present than ho has ever been in before, and is looking forward to putting up a big fight against T. Hanley, of Sydney, in the professional featherweight championship of tho Dominion. Arrangements have also been mado for a contest between T. Tracy, of Wellington, and T. M'Gibbon, of Australia, at the ronriitiiioi.t on November. 25. M'Gibbon is now m tho nermanont staff of the fire brigade, and has been granted tho necessary leave by Superintendent Hugo.

Prices of admission to tho tournament were arranged as follow:—Stage, 10s.; orchestra stalls, 55.; dress circle, 45.; back stalls, 35.; family circlo, 2s. Gd. A portion of the dress circle is to bo set apart for members and honorary members of tho Association. T. Hanley, of Sydney, who is to meet J. Godfrey, of Auckland, for tho featherweight professional boxing championship of the Dominion on November 25, is expected to arrive l.v Hio Wurriraon this morning.
