CLYDE QUAY WHARF.
TENDER ACCEPTED. The tender of John M'Lean and Sons, at about £30,000, has boon accepted for building tho Clyde Quay 'Wharf in reinforced concrete. The. plans provide that tho wharf shall be 567 feet in length, and G3 feet broad. Tho deck will bo VI foot above wator, and will be composed of 19G concrete piles, spaced '20 foot and 0 foot apart. All round there will be spring piling of iron-bark timber, the piles being spaced It) foot apart. Down tho ccntro will ho a raised beam, in order to carry tho centre leg of a crane. At tho shore cud there will be a weighbridge, offices, and gates, and it will bo approached from Clyde Quay by a roadway between tho harbour and tho Corporation yard. It will have a depth of 'J8 feet at low water. No sheds will be. needed, as the dock will he used for coal, timber, and such like, and for boats lying up for repairs. _
