Tho Aorangi man adds: "I learned to milk when about'six years of age, and can milk as well and as quickly as anyone. I can assure you that-no mortal person, male or female, could possibly milk sixty cows iii one afternoon—six cows, an liour is a good average, so that it would take ten hours without a rest to milk sixty cows. I have heard folks say they could milk ten cows',in ah hour, but li;doubt it, ! and, although a good milker might milk ten cows ,in one hour, no, one could liiillc thirty in .three hours."
