GIRLS' REALM GUILD.
Another branch of the Girls' Realm Guild of Service was formed on Saturday afternoon, when Miss Effie Young, who until Friday was <;■ the only member,of tho Guild in Wellington, invited a number of girls to meet Miss Jessie Ackennann., This new branch is to'be called the,Kia Ora Centre, and has nineteen mem- ' bers. .:The; officers, elected are:—President, . . Miss Ashbolt; Secretary/ Miss Effie Young; Treasurer, Miss * Stevens; Committee, Misses ■ Jessie.^ .-and-L. Trueman. ;Miss Ackermannin her address dealt chiefly-with the work done by other centres, and suggested work that might bo undertaken' by^the- girls .in Wellington. Tea was served in a room very charmingly decorated with flowers, purple, -white, and heliotrope, the colours of the Guild.- Miss Young piesented Miss Ackermann,,with a bouquet of , purple and white cinerarias. \ v ■ Mrs Hislop has invited • n number, of girls to J tea this afternoon in the Committee-room iat iithe Town Hall'to! meet Miss Ackermann 1 and form a Guild. .:;■ '; ■'
