Tho Mayor of Auckland has just received a letter from an Aueklandor now in San i'rancisco showing that affairs in that city arc anything but what they should bo. Howovor, they cannot bo said to bu unexciting. A portion of the communication reads': "Kiot3 occur every day, generally with tho loss of a numborof lives. On Labour Day tho crowd wrecked tho cars and shut up tho street." The communication concludes: "Oh, can toll you that there is no place like good old JNnw Zealand."
