CHARTER GRANTED It will bo welcome news -to the army of people that owe allegiance to the North Island Distriot Grand Lodge of tho United Ordor of Druids to learn that, after years of striving, tho Grand Secrotary (Mr. J. M. Grant) has received a full charter from the Grand Lodge of Australia,.and that for the future tho District Grand Lodge (which has ' sixty-six lodges, having a total membership of 7500) will rank as a full and 'freo Grand Lodge by right of charter from supremo body in this part of the world. It lias heeir decidcd that'the charter will bo formally presented to tho North Island Grand -Xodgo at the Druids' Hall, l'aranaki St-reot, on tho evening of Monday, October 21, on \yhich occasion the Grand Lodgo of Australia Will, bo represented by Bro. S. Konnedy, Grand President of tho Canterbury District Grand Lodgo, acting with Bro. Alfred Kidd, P.D.P., of Auckland, and. Bro. W. Woods; P.D.P., of Wanganui. All tho Grand Officors of the North Island Lodgo will'bo present.
