Tho latest English files bring particulars of the eliminating, trials for a representative in the British International Cup race, which was held in Southampton Water oil July 27. There wore four entrants, Lord ' Howard do Wuldcn's. three Daimlers —1, 11, and III —and Flying Fish. Tho course was 32 nautical miles, four times round a circuit of eight knots, and Daimler 11, steered by the old English racing cyclist, Fentininn, led Daimler I, steered by her owner, and won ,tho start, -although tho latter was never, very far behind nor. Daimler 11. won eventually, by 3min. 3-sscc, Daimler 111 (Poles), being nearly Drain, behind the second boat. Flying Fish. (Mr. Jj. do Rothschild) retired before tho completion of the fourth circuit. Tho times of tho first threo boats were: "Daimler 11, iHlmin. 50'4-sscc.;'Daim-ler I, 94min. 36 2-sscc.; Daimler 111, lD3min. 110 2-feec. An open handicap, distance 11.7 miles, tho same day, was won by Iris 11, handicap SOmiti. Os'ce.', time 63'-iin.' 47src. The race, for the British International Cup wa3 to havo been run on -Augusi 2, and the three Daimler boats were to meet the American champion, Dixie.
